Sometimes I feel like being an actor or writer is an endless outpouring of energy where we receive very little back in return.  It can easily take going to dozens of auditions just to land one role.  Then when you do land a role it is for deferred pay or an ultra low budget contract, but it’s cool because at least you get a copy of the footage and can add it to your reel…that is if they ever get the footage back to you…I have recovered less than 1/4 of the footage from all the indie and student projects I have worked on over the past 15 years; which is absolute absurdity considering my footage was supposed to be my payment.  The number of projects that I have worked on compared to the number of projects I actually have footage from is embarrassing.  However, actors never recovering their compensation…
